Planning, ahoy!

I have been trying to make some solid plans for my first few nights in Europe. It has been quite a challenge considering how many available options there are! Hostels galore, unknown cities and streets! I can't wait to get started. I booked my hostel the other night. I will be staying the first 4 nights at the Lisbon Chill Out Hostel. They have decent rates and it looks very comfortable. I am quite excited to settle in the first night and start meeting some friends! Here are some photos:

I have been talking with some Workaway hosts that I may be staying with during the first 6 weeks. The first would be working at a cafe/bar in Tenerife on the Canary Islands. The islands are part of Spain but they are off the coast of Morocco. It is beautiful and warm there right now even though it is still their winter. It is about the same as our average late Spring/ early Summer temperatures.

The second place I will hopefully get a position at is in Grenada, Spain. It is a rural cortijo in the mountains. It is absolutely beautiful! The owners grow most of their own food and are mostly self sufficient. The have animals, gardens and a separate apartment just for their volunteers! They are surrounded by olive, almond, and fruit trees. They are mostly solar powered also! I am really hoping to help out here. They quite often have a few volunteers at once so it means I would have a chance to meet some people to travel with. Here are some photos of the cortijo:

Despite the blurry photos, doesn't it look great?!

The only other semi plans I have at this point are to be in London for the royal wedding in April, and to be in Greece at the holistic retreat by mid - late August. At this point who knows what will happen between now and then though!
